Albert Bouchard grew up in the 1000 Islands NY and started his first band, The Regal Tones, with his brother and three cousins when he was 12 years old. By the time he graduated from high school he had played over 500 shows. In college he started a band with fellow classmate, Donald Roeser. After a couple years Bouchard and Roeser dropped out to become professional musicians. The next band they started evolved into Blue Öyster Cult. Albert played with BÖC for over a decade, during which they sold millions of records and played thousands of shows all over the world. In 1983 Albert set out on his own recording solo records, producing several younger musicians and going back to school to earn bachelor and masters degrees. In 1990 he produced a tape for some friends with Deborah Frost and the project was called Rocket Science by the Brain Surgeons. The friends, several of which were in the music business, who heard this tape encouraged Bouchard and Frost to put this tape out on their own and so in 1993 the Brain Surgeons and Cellsum Records came to be.
